a fabulous read: Confessions of a Beauty Addict by Nadine Haobsh

the novel Confessions of a Beauty Addict just released today, but i've had the privilege to read (and actually finished!) it because i received an advance copy from my blogging friend, Nadine, who is also the author of the book.

i know Nadine is a fabulous writer because i've read her first book and am an avid reader of her blog, but i can't even begin to tell you how amazing this novel is! from the first page on, i couldn't put it down-- of course i did because, well, there are things that need to be done like make meals, run errands and do laundry-- and instantly fell in love with the book's beauty-loving character, Bella Hunter.

Confessions gives you an insider look at the world of magazine beauty editors through the eyes of Bella, whose story-- loosely based on Nadine's own personal experiences-- is everything from "ugh, i know how that feels" to "glad that's never happened to me" to "i can only dream of that happening to me" and some "oh, no she didn't!" moments in between. it's a ride of emotions as Bella goes from the top of the beauty world, then finds herself right smack dab at the bottom of it. she learns many lessons about people and life, not to mention a whole lot about herself, along the way (and it's great to get to experience it all with her). fabulously engaging, this story will make you laugh, want to cry and will remind you we should never count anyone out just because they might experience a tremendous fall.

Confessions of a Beauty Addict is in stores now and online at amazon.com and target.com.
