nail color of the week: Milani Creme Brulee

Milani Creme Brulee nail polish was worn by the models for the Charlotte Ronson show during ny fashion week. after seeing it, i made a mental note to get it-- i'm always at the drugstore for something! now it's my new go-to shade when i don't really have time to wait for a darker color to dry or i can't decide what color to wear. the formula is great-- easily applies in thin coats-- and you can wear it as sheer or opaque as you want (i'm wearing three coats in the pic).

i bought mine at CVS, but you can find this and all Milani products at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide.

  1. Looks so lovely on you! :)

BUT, I hate Milani polishes. They are full off formaldehydes! I learnt it only after I got my hands on the 2 gorgeous (really stunning) shades off eBay. (That were "Linen" #304 and "Glitzy Glam" #09.) Despite that fact I gave it a try and used it on just one hand and it ruined my nails completely! Grrh! >_<

I have almost overcome that disaster by now. Back to Sally Hansen, my HG. Now I only wear Sally Hansen's Maximum Nail Growth in "Cherry Charisma" #39.

  2. For a "drug store" brand of cosmetics, Milani has really impressed me. Their nail polish formulas are always really easy to work with and their colors are gorgeous and mostly "true-to-bottle" when you apply it. With other companies, the sheer polishes are almost always streaky, but that's not the case with Milani. The strokes of their sheer colors always blend into a nice even coat. And I always get a good week-10 days of wear out them, depending on what I'm doing. I have 5 or 6 of their polishes, including 2 of their 3D holographic polishes and they're all great! Right now, I'm wearing their "Cloud 9" polish. It's a sheer lavender polish with a gold shimmer. It's gorgeous and even with 4 or 5 coats (I don't like my nail lines showing .. LOL), it doesn't look thick and gross, but it's perfectly opaque. Love it! I don't have any of their cosmetics, but considering how satisfied I am with their polishes, I'm interested in trying them! Thanks for the review and swatch!
