celebrity fashion lines: loving it or over it?

it seems these days every celebrity is attached in someway to something other than what we have come to know them as. actors are singers and singers are actors. singer/actors are designers and designers are actor/singers (a little exaggeration, but you get the point).

so we know about Beyonce (House of Dereon), Gwen Stefani (L.A.M.B.) and Jennifer Lopez (JLo & Just Sweet), but do you know about Matthew McConaughey, Katherine Heigl and...Lindsay Lohan?

yeah, me too...

Katherine Heigl designs a line of scrubs so women in medical profession feel stylish and chic in a job that requires a uniform that isn't.

launching this summer, j.k. livin (the j's for just, the k's for keep) by resident beach bum (but in a really good way) Mathew McConaughey, will focus on-- you guessed it-- beach wear.

the line will be "a one stop shop for everything you need for the beach," says McConaughey.

Natalie Portman designed her shoe collection for Te Casan, to compliment her desire to balance her love for fashion and animals. the result? leather-free, cruelty-free footwear.

Lindsay Lohan plans her line called the 6126 Legging Line--

"it will be a while before it comes out, but i’m going to do it. some of them will have prints and some will have patterns. i love leggings."

guess we'll have to wait and see...

and last, but certainly not least, the Madden brothers, Joel and Benji along with brother Josh, have a collection called DCMA.

uh....huh....

other celebs who design clothing or accesories include Fergie, Victoria Beckham, Amanda Bynes, Sara Jessica Parker, and possibly in the future, Katie Holmes.

What about Gwen Stefani? Does she count? I love how she embraces being a wife and mother, yet keeps her identity as a performer.

I also thought it fair to tell you, you've been tagged. :-)

The one that gets me is Katherine Heigl. Seriously, a line of scrubs? How fashionable can they get?
