tired of being told "you look tired"...

do you battle dark circles under your eyes? do you wonder why, even after many nights of great sleep, you still end up looking like you haven't slept in days?

an article from the New York Times exposes the reality that many women face: dark under-eye circles. the demand for treatments that work have surprised big cosmetic brands like Clinique when they surveyed 13,000 of their brand users and found that 53% of them had this specific concern.

creams containing everything from whey protein to vitamin c are on the market trying to address the issue. but not everyone who has this issue has it for the same reason. excess pigmentation, dilated blood vessels, and aging cause darkness under the eyes. unfortunately, a few, if any, of the creams on the market are formulated for people with excess pigmentation or dilated veins. so what is there to do?

for people who aren't sure why they have dark circles, topical products that contain a plumping agent or alphahydroxy acids, which can thicken the skin, or vitamins C and K, which can inflame skin and add volume are recommended.

aside from cremes, that aren't always effective, fillers like Restylane, have been turned to although they are only approved to treat wrinkles.

read the article here.

tell me: do you have under-eye issues? what do you do to combat them?

I liked Lancome Hydra Zen. It worked, but I'm not sure if they even sell it anymore. It is time to get a new one though.
