review: ZO Skin Health

Dr. Zein Obagi has released a new line of skincare called ZO Skin Health. it's a whole new way to go about skincare, focusing on restoring the skin to it's best health before you see skin vitality at it's best.

i had the amazing opportunity to visit Dr. Obagi's clinic in beverly hills back in august, and it was fabulous! the Dr. Obagi spoke to us about his passion for changing the way the skincare industry is run to the way we as consumers think about skincare.

the bloggers in attendance were able to ask questions and learn about ZO Skin Health. as you can imagine, when they sent us home with the Jumpstart Kit and the Offects Exfoliating Polish to try, i was beyond excited.

after using the products for a few days (you've read my rave about the Exfoliating Polish), i decided to give the kit to my mom to use. i really wanted to see what these products could do.

my mom loves Obagi products, and was thrilled to hear i had the new line. so, for the last month she has been using them. i asked her to really be paying attention to her experience with it, and send me an email with her thoughts. last week she wrote me an email:

"i've noticed that the sunscreen (Oclipse Sunscreen + Sunscreen SPF 30) enables me to have a smoother look when i apply my makeup after using it first."

"the daily serum (Ossential Growth Factor Serum) is rich and has improved my overall texture of my face. "

"the night repair (Ossential Radical Night Repair) is one of my favorites because i wake up looking refreshed and the fine lines have diminished.

wow, sounds good, mom! thanks...so i take it you like it, right?

and i'll tell you, her skin really does look great! it is brighter, smoother-looking and overall looks refreshed. trust me, she's beautiful to begin with, but the products have given her skin a new luminosity.

I recently tried Dr. Obagi's Oclipse Primer + Sunscreen. At first I was skeptical about how this primer would work, as I have been disappointed by other primers. However, after a long day in the sun and being outdoors, my make-up stayed in place perfectly and my face wasn't oily and didn't have that sunscreen film on it. I am a true believer in this product and I recommended it to a friend that has acne prone skin and she loves it!

I was fortunate to have been introduced to the jumpstart kit from ZOSkinHealth. The line is amazing. I have tried 4 products and really like them all. I have seen a significant improvement in my skins overall appearance. My skin tends to be oily, so I perticularily like the the non-oily feeling of each product. Effective, without being heavy. I really like that.

This is, by far, the best line of skin care products I have ever used. And I have used a lot. I have uber sensitive skin that is also really dry and oily, so I love exfoliating products, but they often leave my face red, blotchy and irritated. This is not the case at all with the exfoliating polish, which I think is the best product EVER. This product exfoliates like it's no one's business and doesn't leave any residue at all. It just leaves my skin feeling newborn baby soft. I have recommended this line to everyone!

I've been using the ZO Ossential, Ommerse, and Oclipse products for about two weeks. Wow - my skin looks great and feels so soft. I'm also amazed at how long my make-up lasts. Great product!!

I have been using the ZO line for a few months now and I am beyond happy about how my skin looks and feels. I am in love with the Exfoliating Polish - and I follow that up with the Daily Power Defense every morning. I don't have t-zone oiliness anymore!
I had dinner with a work friend last week, and he told me that my skin was "glowing". Wow.
Oh - and the Body Emulsion is great. It's a little tingly going on, but let me tell you that the lactic acid in this stuff works.

I've now been using this kit for two months and love it. The products go on easily and are not greasy. For someone with slightly oily skin that sometimes breaks out, this is a real benefit. I especially like the Oclipse Sunscreen + Primer. It’s slightly tinted and has a nice matte finish, so it’s eliminated my need for foundation and a separate sunscreen. I haven't broken out since I started using the products and my dark spots have disappeared. I had one spot in the middle of my chin that wouldn't go away, and now it’s completely gone!

I really like this line. Obagi is such a respected and well known name in skin care. The fact that I didn't have to go to the dematoligist to get these results...well it's just such a bonus. I really see a difference in a more even tone to my skin. The Ossential Radical Night Repair has really made a difference. I can see it and feel it.
