Kim Kardashian to release her own fragrance

if you haven't heard, i'm telling you now: Kim Kardashian is working on creating her own fragrance.

i'm not surprised, really...it was bound to happen at some point.

i am a fan of Kim and feel that she has great style and taste. her makeup is always flawless, and she knows how to put together a fierce ensemble. i don't expect her fragrance to be too childish or fruity, but more playful and sexy. Kim says it has been a longtime dream to do this, and she is working with New Wave Fragrances (distributors of Ed Hardy and True Religion) to create a signature fragrance that we can all wear...

here's what Kim says, from her blog:

it all started when my mom introduced me to famous perfumer Caroline Sabas from Gras, France. she and i have been working together to create a scent that is uniquely me that i can share with everyone!

i have also hired local designer Scott Oshry to help me create the perfect bottle for my fragrance.

it is in the development stages, but we hope to have it in stores by next may - mother’s day! it will be available in the u.s., germany, england, australia and japan.

i hope you love what i come up with!

Bobbi Brown New Mauve Shades for Lips

i have to say, i am so happy that my first experience with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has been with the new Mauve Collection. the colors are understated yet sophisticated, beautiful and fresh.

a total surprise to me is the fact that i have really been enjoying the Heather Mauve Lip Color (second from the left). i'm not really a "lipstick" wearer, but i always like to give them a chance. described as a medium brown mauve, i find it is a true compliment to my lips. when i add the Black Pearl Shimmer (third from left) over it, i get a beautiful muted heather color that i never thought would look so good on me. i also like to wear my Clinique Superbalm over it for an amazingly glossy, nude-but-better lip.

the perfect addition to the Mauve Palette, these lip colors and lip glosses nurture your lips and add to the sophistication that Ms. Brown's products are famous for.

Rembrandt 2 Hour Whitening Kit

i liken the Rembrandt 2 Hour Whitening Kit to deep cleaning my house. it's not something that i like to do, but i know it is necessary.

if you're like me, everyday cleaning suits you best, and getting little bits of cleaning done everyday is much better than a long session of cleaning all blocked together.

so what does this have to do with a whitening kit, you ask?

the Rembrandt 2 Hour Whitening Kit is like the deep cleaning that i don't ever look forward to doing. it's time consuming and a bit more work than i prefer for the chunk of time it takes, but the results are always good.

i will admit, the Rembrandt 2 Hour Whitening Kit is a perfect, catch-up-on-all-of-my-tivo'd-shows type of system. it consists of four 20 minute treatments with 10 minutes in between each treatment. it's not required that you do all of the treatments consecutively, but to knock out the entire 2 hour process is the most effective.

without getting into specifics, i'll tell you i am thankful this doesn't need to be done often, maybe every six months or so. do it while you hang out and relax for a couple of hours at home, or of course, you could get some cleaning done...

the results are not the super-white you'd expect form a professional whitening treatment, but quite noticeable nevertheless. it retails for around $25, and can be found at any drug or mass market retailer (think target and wal-mart).
