Staying Warm with Cold Weather Accessories

southern california isn't know for super cold weather, but every so often, we experience cold weather that feels downright frosty (all of you who live where it snows, please understand, i'm cold when it's 50 degrees out).

don't get me wrong, i'm definitely not complaining. it was over a hundred degrees only a couple of months ago (i don't miss that at all)! i'm loving the fact that i can wear my coats everyday and my scarves, hats and gloves are getting used. not only to keep me warm, but as a way to pull my look together.

need some new cold-weather accessories? here are just a few (ok, more than a few, LOL) of my picks you might like...

holiday gift idea: give the gift of warmth

giving clothing as a gift, like fragrance, can be a bit of a risk.

so, to play it safe, why not consider some stay-warm accessories? i have found that giving chic, classic items become some of the most appreciated gifts!

this beret and scarf from Forever 21 are each amazing gifts to give- no sizing involved!- and even if you give them together, it will cost you less than $15 after tax!

this ruffled scarf from The Gap combines the season's must-have accessory with one of the season's hottest textures.

a friend or family member with a more glamorous side would love this wrap from White House Black Market.

what girl wouldn't want cashmere? these Portolano black cashmere baby cable gloves that i found at bluefly.com are a luxurious way to pamper your loved one, and they come in a variety of colors...

...of course, a more trendy friend might appreciate a pair of fingerless gloves with sleeves to keep her arms warm, or a regular length pair that look just as hip.

fedoras are an essential item to have in your accessory collection and these are great looking year-round. they pull a preppy look together and give a feminie look a bit of masculine edge.

check out some other items i put together:
