celeb makeup artist Mally Roncal shares 3 simple, fun looks for summer!

when it's particularly warm out, it's easiest to keep our makeup simple, but that doesn't have to mean boring! for fun, bright looks {perfect for this time of year} that are also easy to do, leave it to expert makeup artist Mally Roncal to pass along some of her fabulous tips...

bright pink lips ~
Mally says "because pink is so bright, you want to make sure that you prevent the color from moving around on your lips." her advice is to apply color on dry lips. use a lipstick first, then follow with liner after to get precision. try Mally Beauty Bright Lip Kit in Frisky Fuchsia {pictured above}. you can also add a gloss for extra shine!

sparkly, bronzy, smokey eye~
simply line the whole eye area using a shadow stick and then blend with your fingertips. after applying a gold shade in the crease of the eye and bottom lash to soften the look {Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick in Saddle Shimmer is a gorgeous pick!}, finish by applying at least three coats of a waterproof mascara during the summer months {like her Waterproof Volumizing Mascara}.

bronzed skin ~
Mally suggests using a bronzer that is 1-2 shades darker than your natural skin tone. "apply where the sunlight will naturally hit your face, like behind the ears, along the jawline, across the top of the forehead, of the nose, cheeks, and tip of the chin {try Mally Beauty Believable Bronzer}. be sure to finish off the look by adding more light to the face with a highlighting powder, only applying it to your cheekbones." need a good suggestion? Mally Beauty Effortless Airbrush Highlighter and Blush Duo might be one to consider!

thank you, Mally!

so what do you think, beauties? how do you like to wear your makeup {if any} in the summer? let me know in the comments!

beauty review: Mally Beauty Pro-Tricks Correct and Conceal Palette

oh how i love thee, Mally Pro-Tricks Correct and Conceal Palette...

ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic...

but i have to tell you, this trio of concealers is fabulous!

"now you can have all of the tricks of a makeup pro right at your fingertips! with this palette, you have everything you need to...highlight your best features and contour your skin." ~Mally Roncal

one of the best things about the concealer formula is that it gives full, blendable coverage and still looks natural. the result is a beautiful, dewy finish that lasts all day. after applied, it truly feels like nothing on my skin, which is especially beneficial now with the heat of summer is in full effect {we just had a serious heatwave over the past weekend, and it was far from fab!}.

trust me, when you want coverage, but don't want to have a makeup meltdown in the middle of the day, a good, long-wearing product like this is a must!

i don't use every shade everyday {i use the middle shade the most}, but they all work well together for highlighting, contouring, and of course, hiding those imperfection that you don't want the world to see.

love!!

available in 2 trios, Lighter or Deeper, you can find Mally Pro-Tricks Correct and Conceal Palette at qvc.com.  also, do make sure and visit mallybeauty.com for more info about the fabulous Mally Roncal herself and discover more about the brand!

Introducing Q-tips Vanity Packs

i love Q-tips-- i use them literally everyday. they are a must-have for cleaning up my makeup mistakes and smudging my eyeliner to create a sultry, smoky eye. now they come in fabulous packaging to give counters and vanities a stylish punch of color!

using Q-tips aren't just for us regular folk, either. celeb makeup artists Mally Roncal and Troy Jensen both use Q-tips when creating beauty looks.

Mally, creator of the amazing Mally Beauty Cosmetics line, says: "give your neutral eyeshdaows a vacation! think outside the box and try a bold plum or teal eyeliner to line your upper lashes. use a Q-tip cotton swab to blend the lines for a soft, modern look."

Troy Jensen, who works with stars like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian, and keeps his own blog, also includes Q-tips in his beauty arsenal: "you don't have to be a celebrity to look flawless...whether you are on the red carpet or running to dinner, Q-tips can rescue your beauty routine by touching up everything from runny mascara to smeared eyeshadow! they are an excellent alternative to using makeup brushes-- they provide precise makeup application, are great for softening the season's bright colors and safe for delicate skin around the eyes."

this blue and grey floral box would look great on your counter!

i think Q-tips did a great thing creating these new designer packages. it makes my everyday makeup companion so stylish, and of course, the product inside is just as good as ever.
