currently loving: c. Booth Mimosa Honeysuckle Body Souffle

when it comes to my skin, keeping it nourished and moisturized is important. when a product works well, the next thing that makes or breaks my decision to keep using it is the scent. this c. Booth Mimosa Honeysuckle Body Souffle not only keeps my skin feeling soft and smooth, but it smells incredible!

i'm all about floral and citrus-infused scents, so this blend of mimosa flower, coconut, grapefruit and orange were happy-making from first smell. with it's tropical, bright and sweet fragrance, this soufflĂ© is fabulous for summer. the rich blend of oils and skin soothers melts beautifully in to my skin and never feels heavy, so i love using it even on the hottest days.

there's so much in this body soufflĂ© to pamper you and your skin, so you should discover it for yourself! find the c. Booth range of products at Ulta and Rite Aid {i've seen it at CVS as well}. to find a retailer near you, visit freemanbeauty.com

beauty review: Dove Go Sleeveless 5 day challenge

let's be honest, underarms aren't the most glamorous topic. they are, however, covered with skin, so it's  still important to take care of this area of our bodies. since many of us shave the hair that grows there {another not-so-glamorous subject}, we can experience roughness and bumps, typically caused by ingrown hairs and harsh ingredients found in our antiperspirants {eewww}...

enter Dove Go Sleeveless...

i personally exfoliate before shaving {also helpful if you wax} to ensure i keep razor bumps and ingrown hairs at bay, so my underarms are relatively smooth. since i was challenged by Dove to try their 5 day challenge using Go Sleeveless, i figured it was worth a try to discover for myself what it had to offer...

the Go Sleeveless deodorant formula contains vitamins E and F plus Dove 1/4 moisturizers, promising  to care for delicate underarm skin, thus making it softer and better looking. they range in light fragrances, from unscented to citrus and floral scents, and i'm happy to report that yes, after 5 days, my underarms really felt and looked softer and smoother! this is especially happy-making, but i also appreciate that they also do the other thing they promise: keep underarms dry and smelling fresh {through everyday tasks and workouts like yoga to ballet barre, and even spin class}. with warmer weather on its way, this is definitely a good thing.

why not take the challenge yourself?? find out more at dove.com. :)

H2O Plus Suncare Collection

summer may be coming to the end, but that doesn't mean forgoing the sunscreen or faux tan. H2O Plus has introduced a full line of products for face and body to keep you looking great and staying sun smart!

SPF 45 for Body glides on silky smooth, absorbs beautifully and is water-resistant. the lotion-like consistency left my skin feeling soft and the smell is fresh and light.

SPF 30 for Face is hydrating, oil-free and didn't irritate or cause my skin to break out. like the Body formula, this absorbs nicely, smells light and left my skin smooth.

Sunless Tan Body is a self tanner that gives skin a bronzy glow without being orange. another great benefit of this tanner is that it's already tinted, and results are almost instant-- no need to worry if you may have "missed a spot".

Sunless Tan Face is light-textured and gives a "touch of sun" look. this cream is white, but dissolves into the skin. it can be used to build a deeper tan look, but looks more natural if used every few days.

After Sun Body Serum is excellent for soothing skin after being in the sun, but i found that it also works great without having gone out. the light gel formula moisturizes without being greasy and leaves skin feeling refreshed-- love this stuff!

thanks to H2O Plus for the opportunoty to try these new products! be sure to visit h2oplus.com to discover more from the brand.

review: Jan Marini Bioglycolic Resurfacing Body Scrub

having good skin shouldn't just stop at your neck, and Jan Marini knows that. her Bioglycolic Resurfacing Body Scrub helps body skin of all types look and feel their best.

Resurfacing Body Scrub combines glycolic acid and polished granules in order to provide an aggressive but safe approach for reaching a noticeably improved level of body skin rejuvenation. this formulation enables patients to immediately address roughened or calloused areas while enhancing overall smoothness and tone. patients will experience unparalleled softness and results will only increase with continued use.

every time i use this scrub i find it funny that there is nothing remarkable about it "at first glance". it has no fancy frou-frou scent, the packaging doesn't shout "buy me", but after using it once, i noticed my skin felt super-soft!

i've been using it now for a few months, and my skin glows! the Bioglycolic Resurfacing Body Scrub keeps it clear, and the dark spots that have been lingering around for a few years, especially on my back, have faded. i love it!

organic body care: Giovanni Cosmetics Hydrate Body Lotion

i have found an all natural, good for you (and the senses) body lotion!

Giovanni Cosmetics was started after Arthur Giovanni himself had found success as a leading hair stylist and top salon owner in Beverly Hills, CA. each Giovanni Organic Body Care formula contains a blend of exotic organic oils, ripe-harvested from renewable plants at the peak of their freshness. the oils are cold pressed and refrigerated immediately to ensure maximum purity. their body care line contains 100% vegetarian ingredients and does no animal testing. (Giovanni's line also includes Magnetic hair care and Four Elements Organic hair care products)

i am such a sucker for a good body lotion. i love feeling soft, and occasionally, i'll apply a scented body lotion. it's great for days that are laid back and relaxed (although i rarely get any of those), or i don't want to wear any "formal" perfume.

Giovanni Hydrate Body Lotion in Grapefruit Sky is heavenly...i can't get enough of it. the way it makes my skin feel (not sticky or greasy), the scent (a fruity citrus), and the fact that's natural are all fabulous things. what's even better is now i don't have to worry about harmful ingredients and fillers.

available in 6 scents – Grapefruit Sky, Hazelnut Vanilla, Lavender Vanilla Snow, Raspberry Winter, Bamboo Birch and Cucumber Song. 8.5 oz. (250ml) bottles are $9.95 each. (i found mine at Target)

ingredients for Grapefruit Sky:
certified organic *citrus grandis (grapefruit), *citrus aurantium dulcis (valencia orange), *citrus medica limonum (lemon peel) *echinacea angustifolia (coneflower), **olea europaea (olive leaf) and punica granatum (pomegranite) extracts (aqueous), stearic acid, vegetable glycerin, cetyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, **aloe barbadensis (aloe vera), pronus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, *carthamus tinctorius (safflower), simmondsia chinenasis (jojoba) seed oil, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), dimethicone, polysorbate 60, carbomer, hydroxymethylglycinate, essential oil fragrance.
