Dermalogica Event in Santa Monica

if you're in the los angeles area, Dermalogica will be hosting a "Skin Clean-Up" event next week. there you will receive a complimentary 20-minute MicroZone skin treatment, Face Mapping skin analysis and Skin Bar skin lessons (sounds so fun-- wish i could be there!). great prizes will be given out, including a free baby Daily Microfoliant and a Clarisonic Brush Head (a $30 value).

Beyonce to 'Heat' Up NYC

if you're a fan of Beyonce and you're going to be in the nyc area, you need to pay attention to this!

the multi-talented artist herself will be in union square and herald square next week to promote her new fragrance, Beyonce Heat. described as a captivating scent that exudes passion and unleashes a spirited fire within; embodies the trendsetting vision and effortless chic of pop culture's most emulated icon.

so, if you can make it, be at union square tuesday february 2nd from 6pm till midnight or Macy's herald square on february 3rd to celebrate the launch of this debut fragrance.




as far as the scent itself, i think it sounds great, but it's always best to let your nose be the decision maker: feminine and irresistible, the floral, fruity, woody scent features rare, sensual flowers. Beyonce Heat opens with a radiant floral bouquet of magnolia, neroli and red vanilla orchid balanced with a kiss of luscious blush peach. at its heart, almond macaroon, sweet honeysuckle nectar and creme de musk combine to create an exquisitely sensual experience. finally, warm and sexy notes of giant sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber linger to seduce the senses.

celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez gave Anne Hathaway her ultra-glamorous, ultra-dramatic look, with smokey eyes as the focal point.

using products from Lancome, Leslie swept Color Design Eyeshadow in Statuesque over the entire eyelid, dabbed Color Design Eyeshadow in Daylight on the brow bone and finished with several coats of L'Extreme Mascara in Black. Anne's sheer, neutral colored lips came courtesy of L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Couture Suede-- the perfect finishing touch to this smoldering makeup look, don't you think?

great hairstyles don't have to be complicated to look amazing-- take for example Blake Lively's look at the Met Ball last night. to compliment her amazing gown, Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai created super chic tresses for the Gossip Girl star. her hairstyle was sexy and modern without out being too over done.




how to get the look: use Fekkai Coiff Strong Hold Volume Mousse on wet hair to create fullness and body. blow dry using Fekkai Extra Large Round Brush to make the hair very straight. tease the hair and pull it all back into a tight pony tail. secure with a rubber band, then use a small amount Fekkai Magnifique Ultra Light Finishing Creme all over and finish the look with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

for this year's Met Ball in new york, Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai tended to the tresses of Jessica Alba, creating a hairstyle that was both romantic and modern.

how to get the look: apply Fekkai More All Day Density Styling Whip and Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel to wet hair. blow dry hair with Fekkai Comb starting from the forehead to the crown of the neck so that it does not dry too straight. braid all of the hair loosely and pin it with bobby pins to create shape and set style. finish with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray all over.
