Sarah Jessica Parker's New Fragrance

Sara Jessica Parker's latest fragrance, Covet Pure Bloom, is a "bright, feminine floral indulgence, a new scent that's pure paradise and a rare sensuality".

bored with roses or mixed bouquets, Parker picked the royal indonesian pikake as the floral note at the heart of her new perfume. the notes feature purple plum, coconut water, tuberose, royal Indonesian pikake and amber creamy musks.

currently, this new fragrance is only being sold on HSN in 50ml eau de parfum sold in a duo with Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely (they ship the Lovely now, the Covet Pure Bloom on or around july 7th). wider distribution is expected in july.

the Benefit girl is playful, sexy and loves to have fun. this summer, you'll not only be able to spot this girl by her attitude, but by her scent as well. Benefit Cosmetics is launching B Spot, a sensual, fruity floral.

complete with a body map, B Spot is perfect for misting those special parts of the body. the back of the knee, the inner curve of the ankle and the bend of the elbow are only a few examples.


co-creator Jean Ford said, “as eight year-olds, Jane & i were mesmerized by our mother’s fragrance ritual. she applied it to the inside of her wrists then tapped them together before putting on her jewelry. her explanation, ‘this fires up my fragrance…and my attitude!’ that was our initial experience with ‘b spots’.

B Spot is made up with notes of freesia, mango, black currant, tangerine, peony, apple flower, watermelon, white orchid, sandalwood, amber, and marine.

it smells like it’s going to be a fabulous summer! i know i'll be in line for this one. B Spot will retail for $38 and will be available at Benefit counters and Benefit Stores this july.

A New Fragrance Collection From Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani will introduce her new Harajuku Lovers collection, based on herself and her four real-life backup singers, Love, Angel, Music and Baby — and turned them into scent bottles.

"i didn't think this project would actually come to life," Stefani admitted to WWD. "the idea that Coty would let me do five different fragrances for Harajuku Lovers was a fantasy. [but] it really had to be five, because that's what the world is. each girl has her own personality and sense of style. we're all saying something different with unique personalities."



Love, a sensuous floral, has top notes of sparkling bergamot, pink pomelo, peach and bamboo leaf mist; a heart of watery peony, living hydroponic lace rose, jasmine sambac, nectarine blossom, creamy paperwhites and Egyptian jasmine, and a drydown of petally ylang, creamy vanilla orchid, sensual musk and blond wood.

Lil' Angel, a fruity floral, has top notes of raspberry, cranberry, blackberry and pineapple; a heart of pear blossom, candied violet and sugared rose, and a drydown of lollipop accord, hinoki wood and crystal amber.

Music, a delicate floral, has top notes of clementine and sparkling pear; a heart of jasmine sambac, sweet pea and honeysuckle, and a drydown of vanilla, skin musk and sleek woods.

Baby, a powdery musk, has top notes of freesia, bergamot and white rose; a heart of orange flower, tiare flower and jasmine petals, and a drydown of white musk, soft woods, heliotrope, vanilla and violet.

G, a modern gourmand, has top notes of crisp mandarin, fresh coconut and apple skin; a heart of jasmine sambac, soft freesia and magnolia vapor, and a drydown of coconut cream, white sandalwood and cottonwoods.


don't all of the fragrances sound wonderful? definitely full of my favorites- fruits and florals. i'm sure they will fly off the shelves. now that all five fragrances are finished, the next project for Gwen may or may not happen because of her current project, baby number two. "i'm hoping to do a show, but it's right around when i'm due, so I'm not sure yet," she said.

Gwen would also like to transition into the beauty realm. "i would love to have a full L.A.M.B. beauty line one day," said Stefani. "it makes sense. i've always loved doing my hair and makeup and getting all dressed up. when I have a party or an event to go to, getting ready is just as much fun as actually going out."

music is still her first love. "right now I'm in the studio with the guys, working on a new No Doubt album, while working on spring 2009 for L.A.M.B.," she said, adding that designing her apparel and accessories lines scratches a creative itch for her. "music and fashion are both forms of creative and artistic expression for me. they're similar in that they're both never-ending collaborative art projects."

look for the Harujuku Lovers Collection at Sephora, Macy's, Nordstrom and Dillard's this fall.
