Natasha Bedingfield Shares Her Beauty Must-Haves

the fabulous Natasha Bedingfield visited the west hollywood Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon for an US Magazine shoot (featured in the current issue-- get it, quick!). post-shoot, beauty director Gwen Flamberg met up with the singer to find out about products Natasha can't live without.




for her blonde tresses, John Frieda Sheer Blonde products are her faves. the Color Renew Tone Restoring Shampoo and Go Blonder Shampoo keep her tone just the way she likes it, bright and more on the ash-beige side.

when it comes to makeup, Cle de Peau Beaute Foundation and Concealer are her picks for giving her skin an even finish. Natasha says, "it's just so good, and it's a little more expensive, but if you're going to splurge on something, i would say...if you're skin looks good, you don't have to wear anything else."

Guerlain My Insolence Eau de Toilette Spray is her pick for keeping herself smelling fabulous!

Rachel McAdams & Cameron Diaz at Comic-Con

Rachel McAdams and Cameron Diaz made a appearance in san diego for the annual Comic-Con event. both ladies were there to promote their upcoming flicks-- Sherlock Holmes for McAdams and The Box for Diaz.

i'm loving both ladies' looks here, aren't you?-- Rachel, wearing her cropped hair in soft curls, kept her makeup fresh with a bright lip that really popped next to her monochromatic ensemble. Cameron kept it california cool in denim and fitted vest over a basic white tank; her sunkissed glow and hair looks like she spent some time at the beach. :)

that's how i feel about Kate Winslet's february Instyle magazine cover. the color of the dress is amazing-- love it!

read some tidbits from her interview below.



on acting:
"everyone assumes it's such a glamorous job, but really the glamorous side of it is when you get dressed up and go on the red carpet," says Winslet. "the rest of it is major hard work and you have to be ready. you have to fall back on your good leg if your bad leg breaks."

on plastic surgery:
"i'm a normal human being. i don’t have any desire to change my body as a result of having had two kids. that’s a good thing, isn't it?"

on not wanting to be referred to as a movie star:
"i don't feel like (one) in my life at all, and i don’t particularly think i behave like one. i don’t have my own plane. i don't have a chef of a trainer. to me, you're a movie star only during the time when you're at the Academy Awards or at an important glamorous event. it's very much a hat that you wear, and as soon as the event’s over, that hat comes off. i'm back to being me and being mommy, and that’s my priority."

on not having a natural impulse to pamper herself:
"literally, the one maybe celeb-y thing i do is the occasional facial. that is the only indulgent thing, where i just lie there and relax for an hour. you can't answer the phone. you can't get up and make soup. you've just got to lie there and have somebody make you feel nice."

Spotted at L.A. Fashion Week: Michelle Stafford

Michelle Stafford is the Emmy-award winning actress who portrays Phyllis on the soap, The Young & the Restless, and has appeared on many other television shows.

i was fortunate enough to have met Ms. Stafford coming out of the Lauren Conrad show at L.A Fashion Week, and she, along with her goddaughter, Paris, was gracious enough to share with me her thoughts on the show (btw, i was confirmed to see the show, but i unfortunately didn't get in because of an overbooked guest list).

she had many great things to say about Lauren's spring line, siting that it was very youthful and perfect for someone like Paris, who loved the floral prints and hair accessories. they both agreed that it was a beautiful collection and very wearable (stay tuned for pics of the collection!).

first of all, thank you Michelle for taking the time to answer my questions! would you tell me (and my readers), what trends you are loving most for fall?

Michelle Stafford: the skinny belt.


when it comes to style, how would you describe the "look" you go for on a daily basis?

MS: natural with a touch of sex.


how do you think you and your Y & R character, Phyllis, differ in terms of style? how are you the same?

MS: i actually don't think we differ that much in style, although the real tight fitting stuff isn't always the way i go.


who, or what, are some of your favorite designers/clothing lines?

MS: John Galliano (always), Christian Lacroix and Narciso Rodriguez.


your skin is amazing! what is your skincare routine?

MS: thank you. i wash it three times a day and put on a lot of moisturizer. i also take omega-3 fatty acids-- those are amazing for your skin.


if you could only use three products for the rest of your life, which ones would you choose?

MS: shampoo & conditioner, moisturizer, under eye cream.


do you have any beauty secrets? would you share them with us?

MS: every morning (first thing upon rising) i have 8 ounces of hot water with the juice of half a lemon and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. it does what coffee does but without the caffeine.

ok, i was literally getting ready to leave Smashbox Studios when a black suv pulled up, and i saw a photog frantically wave down his friend to come over.

i knew it had to be someone worth getting excited about.

Spotted at L.A. Fashion Week: Kim Kardashian

it seems the media is obsessed with Kim Kardashian. of course, i admit, i was a bit star struck, and surprised when i saw her walk up to attend the Caroline D'Amore show.

Marta and i whipped out our cameras of course, and snapped away. Kim's sister, Kourtney was by her side the entire time as they were interviewed and practically mobbed by photogs.

the funniest moment, though, happened when one photog in particular actually asked me who the girls were. LOL! he was older, so i assume he doesn't watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians or has ever heard of the store Dash.

well, needless to say, we didn't get any time with either Kardashian sister. i suppose TV interviewers have more priority over those of us who only have still cameras, and only two questions to ask-LOL! :)

oh well, there's always next season!


p.s. both sisters looked amazing in person! flawless makeup and grgeous hair. and regardless of what many may say or think, Kim is tiny, and nowhere close to even being in the neighborhood of fat.

Star Style: The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards

the MTV VMAs happened this past sunday, did you see it?

almost everyone who is anyone was there, and overall it was a great show.

i'm not going to bore you with details of the night (and if you missed it, MTV will replay it to death, so chances are you'll see it), but i will tell you that there were some amazing hair and makeup looks going on.

Sarah Jessica Parker's New Fragrance

Sara Jessica Parker's latest fragrance, Covet Pure Bloom, is a "bright, feminine floral indulgence, a new scent that's pure paradise and a rare sensuality".

bored with roses or mixed bouquets, Parker picked the royal indonesian pikake as the floral note at the heart of her new perfume. the notes feature purple plum, coconut water, tuberose, royal Indonesian pikake and amber creamy musks.
