summer is officially over, so for those of you {like me} who love the fall {!!!}, it's time to be most excited! the days are getting shorter, temps are cooling down {loving the crisp, cold mornings}, we can start layering, wearing the fabulously rich shades we've been swooning over and make room for new goodies along the way...

these are a just a few fun products on my radar that i thought you should know about!

 i love that just stepped in from the cold, rosy-cheek look. i'm thinking Blush Rush from Smashbox {@smashbox on twitter} will be a gorgeous choice for creating that perfect natural looking glow; it has a built-in swivel mirror, perfect for touch ups on the go and is available in 8 colors.

noya {@noyabeauty}, a new and all-natural line of lightweight lip balms, offers pure and simple ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, and beeswax to keep lips nourished and moisturized. perfect for those of you who are particular about your puckers, they come in four yummy flavors: classic, vanilla, cherry and spearmint.

i've recently become obsessed with all things owls {and foxes}, so these Boho Owl Pillows from naturallife.com {@natural_life} have my attention ~ they're adorable with their cheerful layers of color, and would easily liven up any space {not to mention keep you comfy on the couch} during this dark, chilly season!

beauty girl faves: moisturizing lip products

i confess, when it comes to lips moisturizers, i'm obsessed. the feeling of a dry pout is the worst! and this time of year is brutal on skin and especially lips. every weather condition {dry, wet, cold, windy, sunny} contributes to sucking the moisture out ~ pas bon {not good}!

 i have my go-to balms, moisturizers and glosses {as i'm sure you do, too}, but of course you know...

i love discovering and trying out new goodies to share with you! so, take a look at the following products that will pamper and keep those lips looking and feeling fabulous...

Cu3 Intensive Lip Repair
this amazing formula soothes and nourishes lips with a copper peptide complex [CpC] and aids in repairing damaging effects of wind, cold and sun exposure. i love that after applying for the first time {a little goes a long way}, it made my lips so silky without being greasy. after an hour, my lips still felt fabulous. the purse-friendly size is also a benefit for this innovative lippie.

Rodial Glam Balm Lip
rose wax and shea butter are the not-so-secret ingredients of this fabulous balm. the luxurious, antioxidant-rich formula smooths imperfections, moisturizes and protects for a flawless appearance. while it can be used anytime of day, i love applying this before bed. i have only been using this for a few days, but already the yummy scent and gorgeous texture has been such lovely end-of-the-day treat. in the morning, my lips feel amazing.

mark Totally Balmed SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm and Glowdacious Illuminating Powder

it's summer, beauties-- time to get your glow on! right now i'm loving mark Glowdacious Illuminating Powder-- it highlights and adds a pretty sheen to my skin. in addition, i have been pampering my lips with mark Totally Balmed SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm in Totally Bare. the hint of color is perfect under any sheer gloss.

other than my face, i like to add Glowdacious (pictured above in Shimmied Up) to my decollete and shoulders for day, and have been known to add it to my legs at night (makes me feel like a celeb to some degree, LOL!). i love that the finish isn't uber glittery, but looks just right when it catches the light. i apply it using Eco Tools Bronzing Brush-- the perfect, big brush (and so soft!) for applying the powder to my body.



Tinted Lip Balm is a bit stiff in the tube, but manages to glide on smoothly. the color isn't the least bit intense, so there's no worry about feeling like you're too made up when you're just at the beach or spending time lounging by the pool.

YBF Skincare Quench Lip Treatment

heal. refresh. protect. those are the goals of YBF's Quench lip treatment. i was so excited to when the brand sent me this product to try lips always deserve to be pampered and treated no matter what time of year, and since this has been with me through many different weather conditions, i can tell you that it really does reach those goals. it does a great job of keeping my lips in good condition, and has become one of my favorite lip balms.

unlike many lip treatments that contain peppermint, as Quench does, this doesn't sting or "bite" at my lips-- it's more of a cooling sensation. other ingredients, like meadowfoam seed oil (a highly moisturizing and rejuvenating oil that forms a moisture barrier over the skin, preventing moisture loss), and vitamins E and C, help keep my lips looking and feeling fabulous (what woman doesn't want soft, beautiful lips?). plus, when lips are well moisturized, lipstick goes on and looks so much better!

happy friday all! how are things? i was going to film a trip to the drugstore, but i didn't get to it this week-- hopefully next week...

Burt's Bees Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
this new balm is fabulous because unlike the minty stuff Burt's usually makes, this is sweet. in addition, it smells good and leaves my lips feeling buttery smooth. love that!




Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara uses rice proteins to thicken lashes-- and bonus, the tube is completely recyclable! i can't find this for sale online, but you can find it at a drugstore near you.



Avalon Organics Perfecting Facial Toner with CoQ10 is formulated for all skin types, and really helps keep my oily skin balanced. it contains organic lavender, white tea and arnica-- these ingredients fight against bacteria, hydrate, restore and balance skin-- leaving my skin feeling clean without over-drying.

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15 is a fabulous lip balm to wear everywhere. not only does it protect your lips from the harsh rays of the sun during the day, but it also moisturizes like crazy, making it a great product to use at night!

but, if you're like me, the rationale is, i don't need a sunscreen at night, so i'm going to save my beautiful sun-protecting lip balm for the day, when i really need it, which is a wise argument, if i do say so myself...

this soothing, and pink (!), lip balm gives lips amazing moisture with shea butter and jojoba esters, and protection with pomegranate extract and UVA and UVB sunscreens, making this one heck of a lip balm! the very subtle hint of color leaves bare lips looking perfectly glossy and over lipstick, it's a beautiful companion. i love this stuff!
