skincare gem: Airelle Berrimatrix Eye & Lip Treatment

a good eye product is one thing i've come to appreciate more {and more} as i get older. sure, i have go-to products i use daily, and they work fabulously, but i recently started using a new treatment that not only works to keep the skin around my eyes looking youthful and smooth, but it's also for use around the lips and mouth, a place that can show age, too.

so what is this product, you ask? it's Airelle BERRIMATRIX Eye & Lip Treatment with Hyaluronic Acid.

this targeted treatment includes ingredients {including manuka honey, vitamins A, C, and E} to smooth and improve texture, a benefit i noticed quickly {really, after just a few uses}. in the short amount of time i've continued to use it since {a little more than 2 weeks}, i've noticed the skin around my eyes looking more smooth and hydrated and the fine lines have been reduced {yes, i do have fine lines…}. this antioxidant-rich serum also has proven to be a fabulous eye de-puffer.  though i don't wakeup with puffy eyes very often {sleeping on my back seems to help} it does happen on occasion. and as directed, i use it both morning and night.

luxe & organic: Vapour Organic Beauty

hello beauties!

as another month is coming to a close {yikes, this month flew by!} and the spring season slowly blooms, i'm excited to share some gorgeous products from Vapour Organic Beauty i've been using over the past several weeks.

lovely and luxe, each of these products not only make you look good, but are also made with organic ingredients so they're good for you!

oh, and just as a little pop culture/celeb side note, Jessica Alba recently gushed over a few of these products...

the first product i have to share is Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation {swatched below with and without a flash}. the shade sent to me for this review is a tad too dark, but worked gorgeously as a liquid bronzer thanks to its natural skin luminizers. the finish is dewy and pretty, the formula feels light, and {when used as a foundation} is buildable so you can add more product to places that you may require more coverage.

creating flawless skin typically requires a concealer, and for this the Beauty Illusionist is fabulous. it easily covers imperfections, blending away dark spots and blemishes and is housed in a sleek tube, making it purse and travel-friendly.

Luxe Organic Lip Conditioner treats lips with jojoba seed, beeswax and coconut oils. one of my new lip-loving faves, i like to apply this when i begin my makeup application. by the end of it, my lips are soft and ready for whatever lip color i choose to apply. one to try...Siren Lipstick.

another lippie standout is the Elixer Plumping Gloss. of course, let's be honest, my lips aren't in need of plumping, but i simply j'adore this gloss! the non-stinging formula contains antioxidants, lip-loving skin-hydrators and has a gorgeously glossy, not-too-sticky finish. the shade pictured is called Vivid, a stunning fuchsia with silver flecks.

let's not forget the eyes! Vapour Organic Beauty's Mesmerize Eyeliner & Smoky Eye Tool applies and blends beautifully. whether i used it to create a defined cat-eye or {with help from the built-in smudger} a glamorous, smoked-out finish, the result lasted for hours and never irritated my eyes.

Cover FX's MintGlaze FX is minty, as the name suggests, and a hydrating lip treatment that works to get lips in lipstick (or gloss)-ready condition.

it even has SPF 15!

typically, i apply MintGlaze to my lips in the morning after my skincare products. as i apply my makeup, the cool minty flavor helps wake my lips up, and by the time i'm finished, my pout is smooth and ready for whatever lippie i decide to wear for the day.

i admit, i'm a lip product junkie. i always have to have something on my lips, even of i'm just going to bed. it's not that bad of a habit-- my lips are always soft. :) so, of course, when Korres sent me their Jasmine Lip Butter to try, i was ecstatic!

hello beauties! how was your week?

mine was super-busy, and doesn't show any signs of stopping! on top of that, my poor 5 year-old son isn't feeling well...awww...it breaks my heart when my kids are sick!

so, now i'm going to focus on a topic that doesn't make me sad: fabulous products that don't cost a lot of money!


Almay One Coat Lengthening Nourishing Mascara is a must-have if what you want is natural-looking length! i love the mascara- even a couple of coats gives your lashes a beautiful effect! i of course cannot just stop a couple of coats, so i pile it on, and, thankfully, never have any clumping. it lasts all day without smudging, and washes of easily.




Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends Sheer Highlighting Blush works so brilliantly because it isn't just one color. all of the colors give a sheer wash of color with a hint of pretty shimmer. p.s- use a real blush brush with this. the one that comes with it isn't good at all.




Softlips Lip Protectant with SPF 20 is an all-time favorite and definitely a must-have product. i love it in vanilla, but it also comes in many other "flavors". the moisturizing lasts long enough, but it's mostly the spf i like-- because just like the skin on our face and body, our lips need protection, too!

Clinique Repairwear Intensive Lip Treatment will give the soft, smooth lips that are desired by everyone. not only do smooth lips feel good, but they look good as well, especially if you are going to be wearing the darkest of dark shades that are so hot this fall!

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15 is a fabulous lip balm to wear everywhere. not only does it protect your lips from the harsh rays of the sun during the day, but it also moisturizes like crazy, making it a great product to use at night!

but, if you're like me, the rationale is, i don't need a sunscreen at night, so i'm going to save my beautiful sun-protecting lip balm for the day, when i really need it, which is a wise argument, if i do say so myself...

this soothing, and pink (!), lip balm gives lips amazing moisture with shea butter and jojoba esters, and protection with pomegranate extract and UVA and UVB sunscreens, making this one heck of a lip balm! the very subtle hint of color leaves bare lips looking perfectly glossy and over lipstick, it's a beautiful companion. i love this stuff!

review: NYX Tinted Lip Spa

first, i have to say that i purchased this product on a whim. the word spa really caught my eye, so i decided, why not? since i had never had any experience with NYX in terms of lip color (and i am in love with their eye colors), it was about time i gave it a shot...



i picked the color called Matador, a brown peachy pink. when i applied it, it went on smoothly, with a nice glossy texture. it is very moisturizing and not thick at all. the color is sheer and a great nude on me. i assume it would be a great versatile color on most people because it is neutral color, and, because it is sheer, it's the type of product that could easily be applied without a mirror. i love that! after it is on the lips, the spa aspect of this product came into play: a minty, cool sensation on my lips that didn't burn. ahh...


my lips feel great when i use this! this super moisturizing, sheer and cooling color truly make this a treat for the lips. i can't say enough good things about it! if you think you deserve a treat, pick this one up, try it for yourself and tell me what you think!
