hair therapy: L'Oreal Paris Studio Line Finishing Hairspray

hairsprays were never my favorite styling products to use. i never liked the stiffness or stickiness they left behind. L'Oreal Paris Studio Line Finishing Hairspray is unlike any drugstore hairspray i have ever used.

it sprays out very finely, and dries extremely quick. that is fabulous because it won't weigh your style down in the least! unlike my experience with Bumble and bumble's Spray de Mode, i did notice a bit of stiffness at first, but as soon as i ran my fingers through it, it somehow went away, but the style stayed!


so if you are looking for a great, not to mention inexpensive, way to keep your style going strong, look no further than your local drugstore for this one. i highly recommend this!

review: NARS Beautiful Liar

Beautiful Liar, one of the newest lipcolors from the Nars Fall 2008 collection, is at first glance, a dusty orange with a hint of gold shimmer (although the company describes it as a sheer spiced coral).

i was hesitant to put this on, but as most of us should know, you will never know what what anything looks like until you try it on.

boy was i surprised! on me it was a beautiful coral with the right amount of shimmer. i'm not really into too much sparkle and usually give those types of products to my daughter to wear for makeup playtime. being that i am more used to wearing tones in the pink or berry families, i am happy that this brings a little more warmth to my face. i need it these days!

by the way, on my daughter-- who actually has a more olive complexion-- it looks amazing. but she won't be getting this from me anytime soon (wink).

review: Elizabeth Grant Vitamin C Day Treatment

lightweight and good for the skin, Elizabeth Grant Vitamin C Day Treatment gives skin a dose of the good-for-you antioxidant vitamin c that helps skin renew and strengthen itself, as well as fight off free radical damage.

i like the idea of vitamin c in a day cream, but after using it, i didn't really notice much of a difference in my skin. i would say that that means it's not a bad product and maybe helped to maintain what i already had going on. reviews on the site are positive, so that's a fabulous thing.

aside form being lightweight, it also absorbs beautifully into my skin. the smell isn't overwhelming and i like the packaging. it looks like a really expensive yellow and gold glass dispenser, but really it's just plastic. and there's nothing wrong with that (especially if you drop it a few times...oops...).
