Look For Less: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes always seems to look great, even if she's in basic jeans and top. that bag of hers isn't cheap, though. i chose 6 pieces that cost less than that adorable tote does all on its own to inspire your own daytime casual-chic look...

Eva Mendes at Launch for Her New Home Collection

remember when i shared Eva Mendes' home collection, Vida by Eva Mendes? well, the actress made an appearance at the Macy's in herald square, looking gorgeous (in a great floral dress!) and uber-excited to share her new designs.

Vida by Eva Mendes was designed with her business partner George Augusto and is available exclusively at Macy's. the Latin-inspired bedding collection is about "easy luxury—the colors, fabrics and textures that i live and love, brought to life in a stylish, comfortable and affordable way," said Mendes.

2009 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Looks

the Golden Globes red carpet was full of amazing glamorous gowns, beautiful hairstyles and gorgeous makeup. i was so excited to see the looks as i watched from home, and these are a few of my favorite looks of the night...

January Jones stepped out of the 60's and into the 40's with her Golden Globes look. inspired by her dress, her hair was done in fabulous soft waves and her makeup was created to keep the focus on her lips, a pretty tangerine-red.

America Ferrera was nothing close to Ugly in her Oscar De La Renta dress (love...). her makeup was fresh and pretty, showing off her gorgeous skin. loose curls complimented this sweet style.

Kate Beckinsale showed off an amazing figure in this body-hugging gown by J. Mendel. with her hair in a sleek updo, her makeup was kept fresh and glowing. i love her big, bold chandelier earrings that are a huge trend right now.

Tarji P. Henson, also in J.Mendel, took a risk with this gown, and in my humble opinion, looked great! the GG's are a bit less serious than the Oscar's, so it worked. her skin was given a glowing look with soft, skin-complimenting hues and rose-toned lips.

Eva Mendes dazzled in her white Dior gown, loose updo and classic makeup.

Olivia Wilde, in a Reem Acra gown, looked stunning in more of a bold eye makeup look and simple, parted hair that she left down.

Evan Rachel Wood wore a gown by Elie Saab. i love the classic red nails and soft, old hollywood look of her makeup.

Anne Hathaway is already a fashion powerhouse, and she kept her place in my style book with this look. in a gown by Armani Prive, Anne looked ever the part of glamorous movie star, from her Grace Kelly-inspired updo to her elegant and classic makeup.

Jennifer Morrison in Oscar De La Renta was one of the best looks of the night. just look at that amazing dress in that amazing color! nothing about her makeup and hair is overwhelming or trying to compete with her dress, it only compliments it.

Amy Adams also wore Oscar De La Renta and couldn't have looked better. she opted to wear her hair a bit more loose and down her back.

look of the day: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes has been hitting it out of the park with her style choices as she and the cast of The Spirit travel around promoting the film in europe (hey, she would have been LOTD yesterday, too)!

in berlin, she chose to wear a multi-coloured dress from the Bill Blass Spring 2009 collection. she added a thin lavender belt and red suede Christian Louboutin pumps that really helped to bring out the colors in the dress-- love it!

her hair and makeup were soft and pretty- she looked very modern yet somehow very retro-inspired, don't you think?

look of the day: Eva Mendes

just because i love this fun dress-- and she looks great-- Eva Mendes is the look of the day!

at the madrid, spain premiere of the movie, The Spirit, Ms. Mendes wore a fun and playful white off-the-shoulder dress with a pastel peacock feather print.

she complimented the dress with white heels and a classic, unfussy bouffant. her makeup is soft and pretty, nothing overdone...just stunning!

look of the day: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes looked quite demure and classy in this silky dress at the La Mer Celebrates "Liquid Light" by Fabian Baron party that was held this past wednesday.

in the movie The Women , which i went to see yesterday, let's just say her character isn't so classy...

look of the day: Eva Mendes

at the premiere of her latest film, Eva Mendes wore a black and white floral print dress by Bill Blass. her hair is done up in a sightly messy bouffant, along with smoky eyes and pretty pink cheeks and lips.

i like that the heels of her stilettos disappear on the red carpet. makes for an interesting picture, doesn't it?
