NY Fashion Week: All Dolled Up at Whitney Eve

Whitney Port's NY Fashion Week debut took place last week and had a somewhat positive response. for her spring 2010 collection Alice in Wonderland was the inspiration behind the makeup look.

big lashes were to be the main focal point-- i have no problem with that!-- so makeup artist Tina Turnbow used Nyx Professional Makeup's Doll Eye Mascara in Volume to create, big open eyes. for a bit more definition, each model's eyes were lined with Nyx Professional Makeup's Felt Tip Eyeliner in Black, with a sexy cat-eye swoop.

also for the eyes, Tina created a colorful, fresh look using Nyx Professional Makeup's Single Eyeshadows in three steps:

**on the eyelid-- sweep the White Pearl shadow up to the crease to make eyes pop
**in the crease-- use the Golden shade to highlight and add shimmer
**as a contour-- add definition above the crease to the brow bone with shadow in Burgundy Pearl

cheeks were youthful and flushed in pink. Tina mixed Nyx Professional Makeup's Rouge Cream Blush in Glow and Hot Pink to apples and contours of the cheek.

to set off this playful look, Tina selected Nyx Professional Makeup's Black Label Lipstick in Volcano, a bright, sunny coral shade to add to the lips.

the makeup look is pretty and perfect for the spring season. to purchase these products online, be sure to visit nyxcosmetics.com. want to see the collection? click here

Whitney Port is Cargo's Newest Lipstick Designer

this fall, a shade of hot pink lipstick created by Whitney Port will be available in an eco-friendly 100% Natural PlantLove lipstick, called "Eve Pinky". the trendsetter and star of mtv's The City joins the ranks of fellow celebrity lipstick designers Courteney Cox, Evangeline Lilly, Angie Harmon and Denise Richards. it was the importance they placed on protecting the planet that led all of these women to partner with CARGO.

more importantly, CARGO will be donating two dollars from the sale of every lipstick to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the world's premier pediatric cancer research center.

fyi-- the PlantLove line is the only prestige make-up brand to be designated ECOCERT®, a global designation signifying that all product, process and packaging meet the strictest standards for natural, organic and environmentally friendly content. ECOCERT® designated products dramatically reduce their environmental footprint.

Whitney's "Eve Pinky" shade will be available next week at all Sephora locations and online at sephora.com

Is Whitney Port the New Carrie Bradshaw?

this title of Meet The New Carrie Bradshaw is seen on the cover of Page Six magazine, and the article featured goes on to examine how Whitney Port, the most unlikely 'Hills' character to have her own show has, indeed, ended up with her own show.

MTV's The City will follow Whit as she embarks on a new chapter in her life: moving to nyc working in public relations for DVF (Diane Von Furstenburg's clothing line), and her love life, which on The Hills, she always kept off-screen.

obvioulsy MTV thinks her show will be just a successful as The Hills, otherwise, why take the chance, right? time will tell...

read the article here.

what do you think? will you be watching The City? is Whitney really the new Carrie Bradshaw? let me know in the comments!

in celebration of the announcement of her new show, The City, Whitney Port is the look of the day.

look of the day: Whitney Port

Whitney Port, you know her from The Hills, looks casual and fun in her floral dress, and adds a bit of trendiness with a pair of sock sandals. her hair is no-fuss and makeup is minimal-- a great look for an outdoor event!
