bathing beauty: Caress Cashmere Luxury Body Wash

back in 2010, as 2011 approached, i really took time to think about what it was i wanted to do and accomplish by year's end. one of the few things i decided to do (among saving money and getting back in touch with my creative self) was to stop spending money on things, especially beauty products and clothing, that didn't make my beyond ecstatic each and every time i used or wore them. my ultimate desire was to spend only on items that were of absolute necessity and of great quality. so, i cleared my beauty stash of items i hadn't used in months and bagged up clothing, bags and shoes that didn't fit or hadn't seen the light of day in over a year.

everything i could donate or give away, i did.

to be honest, i can be a very impulsive buyer, so i thought this new practice would be a hard one, something that i'd have to keep "starting over" with. as it turns out, this "resolution" has been much easier to stick to than any other in my life.

maybe this quality over quantity mentality comes with age, LOL!

in any case, one of my absolute, favorite body washes, Caress Cashmere Luxury, definitely falls into this category, and it also happens to be wallet-friendly. my saving money plan is also being put into practice (btw, i am loving hellowallet.com as a tool for helping me manage and save more moolah)-- yay!

Caress Cashmere Luxury key ingredients include white orchid milk, warm vanilla essence and sunflower oil. the creamy, rich texture lathers up beautifully and feels just as the name suggests, like luxurious cashmere. it leaves skin so incredibly soft and lightly scented. i love it!

next time you're looking to gift yourself a simple, yet luxurious, treat, try this body wash, won't you?

beauty on a budget: Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash

i love body washes, and Caress makes some of the best low-cost varieties. one i have been using a lot lately is the Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash. the scent of Burnt Brown Sugar & Karite Butter is beyond delish; it's creamy, almost like vanilla, and sweet like sugar, but with a hint of warmness (think of a fabulous cupcake). the beads aren't super scrub-y, but the softness of my skin when i get out of the shower is enough to leave me very satisfied.

love this stuff!

**this also comes in a bar form, which i recently tried-- it smells just as good, and leaves skin feeling amazingly soft, but overall i prefer the body wash.

find Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash at your local drugstore and mass retailers, and online at drugstore.com

my favorite drugstore beauty buys 7.11.08

i think drugstore products are better than ever these days, don't you? there really is a plethora of goodies to be discovered and used!

this week, i share a few more of my favs:

Caress Tahitian Renewal Body Wash is like a like a spa experience at home (i'm hoping to have one at a real spa)! this contains pomegranate seeds and tahitian palm milk to gently exfoliate and luxuriously moisturize your skin while enveloping the shower with it's amazing, tropical smell...aahhh...

Boots No. 7 Blush Tint Cream Rosebud is a fabulous, creamy blush that gives me a natural flush. i usually use this under another color since my skin is oily, but it helps the powder blush to have something to hold onto. if i wear it alone, i apply it more heavily and set it with translucent powder.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask gives my tired strands a fierce dose of moisture with olive oil, meadowfoam seed and sweet almond. it is a really effective treatment, and perfect for my over-stressed hair.

let's have some fun! send me your favorite drugstore beauty products. each week i'll feature a new reader favorite...it will be fun discovering new products with you! send me an email: beautygirlmusings@gmail.com
