spring beauty: Sunday Riley Disrobe body lotion

the luxury brand, Sunday Riley, offers pampering through their range of beauty and skincare products, including a product i'm loving right now ~ Disrobe Body Lotion.

for the past few weeks i've been using the lactic acid-based Disrobe, and from first use it's been fabulous; i've relished the silky texture and non-greasy formula as well as its light, practically non-existent fragrance. softening and hydrating, it never ceases to leave my skin feeling and looking  smoother!

you may be wondering, how is it able to work so well?

humectants in Disrobe pull water into the skin, while shea butter and squalene hydrate and repair to  lock in moisture; as mentioned before, lactic acid is also a main ingredient, which aids in gently exfoliating skin to improve tone and texture. other benefits of Disrobe include detoxification and improved elasticity.

if you're looking to splurge on a body product for yourself, Sunday Riley Disrobe is certainly worth it! after all, there's always a special occasion to treat yourself, right?

you can find Sunday Riley products at NordstromSephora and of course, visit SundayRiley.com for more info {including makeup looks and all the latest tips} and news from the brand.

holiday gift idea: gift sets from Le Couvent Des Minimes

the days left to shop for gifts are becoming less and less…are you ready? do you have all of your shopping done? i just picked up the "major" gifts for my kids today, and other than some stocking stuffers {i always wait until the last minute for those}, i'm done…

but i digress...

when it comes to gift giving, fragrance is a personal preference and can be a risky choice. one truly should only give scented gifts when the gift giver {you} knows that your recipient will enjoy it {not to mention it will save that awkward moment of "oh…wow…thanks…"}…

with that said, i will now proceed to share some scented gift sets!

these sets from Le Couvent des Minimes, a brand that boasts gorgeous, simple products inspired by the long tradition of plant-based care and well-being used at the convent of Mane in the south of france look fabulous, and should be considered...i mean, why not?

take a look...

Energizing Verbena Trio: an energizing offering of products that combine invigorating verbena with refreshing lemon for a formula that pays tribute to the ardent work of the inhabitants who brought the convent of mane to life. the set includes Gardener's Hand Healer Cream, Energizing Shower Gel in Verbena & Lemon Fragrance, plus Verbena & Lemon Revitalizing Body Lotion.

Eau des Minimes Trio {pictured at top}: features an original recipe combining three refreshing citrus fruits and seven beneficial plants the Botanical Cologne of the Minims invigorates and leaves a refreshing fragrance. this set includes Eau des Minimes Fragrance, Eau des Minimes Soap Bar and luxurious Eau des Minimes Shower Gel.

Soap Quartet: these pure, vegetable based soaps are suited for all skin types and gently cleanse without drying; the scent is described as graceful and chic. includes an Eau des Missions Vanilla Fragrance Soap Bar {vanilla, benzoin, and virginia cedar}; an Eau Amiable Fragrance Soap Bar bursting with sweet orange blossom essence; and two Eau Des Minimes Fragranced Soap Bars featuring the brand’s revitalizing blend of lemon, blood orange and grapefruit.

Rose Skincare Trio: give the gift of 4 Roses to indulge, moisturize, boost radiance, and preserve a youthful complexion. this elegant gift set includes Gentle Cleansing Milk to delicately purify skin, 3-in-1 Micellar Water, a multi-purpose cleanser, toner, and make-up remover, plus the Complete Moisturizing Cream to intensely hydrate and leave a hint of fresh rose scent.

Gardener’s Hand Healer Trio: these rich hand care recipes restore overworked hands to their softest, healthiest state, whether you tend a garden or navigating modern life. with a traditional blend of reparative botanicals, this repairing kit includes the ultra nourishing Gardener’s Hand Healer Cream, a travel sized Gardener’s Hand Cream to take on the go, and the gentle Exfoliating Cleanser to prep hands for receiving added moisture.

Hand Cream Trio: an essential gift set that includes the brand's most well loved hand creams! honey and shea butter-infused Nourishing Hand Cream, Lavender and Acacia Extract Soothing Night Hand Cream, and the award-winning, best-selling Gardener's Hand Healer with shea butter and 7 beneficial plants.

are these sets heavenly or what? i would love to receive any of them… {hint, hint..wink, wink…}

:)

all winking aside i have to say, if you're a fan of L'Occitane, chances are you'll fall in love with Le Couvent Des Minimes ~ it's definitely a fabulous brand. so, if you aren't already familiar with them, visit their website,  for more info and to order some gifts!

review: La Mer The Body Refiner

La Mer's The Body Refiner is the luxury item every beauty lover should have in her shower. i tell you, there is nothing like life's luxuries: getting a massage, listening to the ocean, exfoliating with diamond dust...

wait, what?

yes, listening to the ocean is a luxury to some people-- oh! you meant exfoliating with diamond dust...sorry...

ok, all joking aside, La Mer has seriously put real diamond dust into its new shower scrub, called The Body Refiner, and i have to tell you-- it is incredible! i mean, talk about luxurious! it works beautifully, giving me soft, radiant skin right out of the shower. every time i use it (about 1-2 times a week), i feel as though i am royalty.

infused with over a carat and a half of pure diamond powder, this multi-faceted treatment instantly polishes the skin to reveal a soft new surface. this spa-like treatment protects skin's delicate moisture barrier, working organically, energetically and physically to reveal a soft and healthy, resilient new surface.

in addition to the the diamonds, this scrub is rich in hyaluronic acid (known for its ability to keep skin hydrated), a micro-algae complex, and La Mer's legendary emollients that hydrate, cushion and soothe the skin. sea mud, tourmaline and many other skin-loving elements are infused in this scrub as well.

just like every other La Mer product i have used, i really think this is a fabulous product. no matter your skin type (even sensitive), this is something you have to try to believe. and if you are looking for something to splurge on, this should be the item you choose!

review: Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis Gold Advanced Cellular Radiance

Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis Gold Advanced Cellular Radiance works to give skin a youthful luminosity while restoring and revitalizing it with its infusion of liquid gold (yes ladies and gents, real gold) and other natural extracts.

legend has it that queen Cleopatra's beauty secret for achieving her smooth, glowing, radiant skin was sleeping mask of pure gold, so needless to say, i feel a bit like royalty using this moisturizer.

i find this luxurious cream to be very moisturizing and pampering, like something that would be used in a high-end spa. with a light, refreshing texture, Cellular Radiance isn't greasy and absorbs quickly; it has a light pleasant scent and leaves my skin with a luminous finish. although it's a bit pricey, this is definitely a great product. i really appreciate that a little goes a long way--always a good thing in my book! my skin looks and feels fabulous after using it, and did i mention it makes me feel like royalty?
